If you go to the Toyota Canada website they have a nifty link to appraise your vehicle.

http://www.toyota.ca/cgi-bin/WebObjects/WW...%2findex%2ehtml

If the link doesn't work, go to www.toyota.ca then click on "VEHICLES", then "APPRAISE YOUR TRADE-IN"

Here you can check what the black book value of the WRX is and you can also use it as a guide if you plan to buy a used S2000.

This is what the dealerships use when buying vehilces on trade in.

one thing that I didn't see mentioned, was trade in value. You have to be smart.. but when you trade a car in at the dealership for another car, you only pay taxes on the difference. ie.. $20K trade car.. $40K new car... difference is $20K... unless PQ is different.

I am going to wait until winter passes and do it in the spring.

Thanks for all of the advice.

Dog Biscuit - I too spent a few winters in Montreal and I would have to say that you will be in for a serious treat. It gets like 30 below and snow up to 3ft at a time. I had a CRX at the time with snow tires and all and it was a chore to get anywhere. Damn even the heat took like 10 mins to kick in. I say stick with that WRX and invest in snow tires. Trust me ask any enthusiast there and they will tell you the same.

Good Luck and be safe. PS, please stop by AMAZONs or SOLID GOLD for me

I am sure that genuine straight-forward questions from international board members in a new country are not the problem questions that he had in mind.
