Hi everyone, I'm thinking of getting a used S2000 so just wondering which year is better than others and what potential problems I would face with older models. (ie. 2000 or 2001)

Either year you're getting there's this HUUUUGE known problem:














Everyone will look at your car while you're on the road.

 

'02 or '03 <--- glass rear window and 9K rpm engine!

'00 or '01 <--- plastic rear window

'04 <---- 8k rpm engine

 

Don't forget to get a Berlina for better performance/appearence!

 

Berlina looks badass but I think it makes the car look even smaller.

 

I guess you don't like midgets.

no real better than comparison's other than 01 spa's came with hardtops

other than that, check the usual stuff

-tsb's
-carfax for any accidents
-tread on tires
-I believe the windscreen was an option on '00 so if you want one, you may have to buy the complete unit
