Default Murdered Out Badges

Since it was another rainy day in Pizzaville, I decided to change up the look a little. I'm currently waiting for springs to come in to drop the car but in the meantime I didn't like the look of the chrome. I ended up using plasti dip and painting all the badges today. i didn't want to remove them in case i screwed up putting them back on the car.

Old Chrome

Taped/Masked & first coat:

The finish is supposed to be flat so i was a little skeptical after the first coat:

After a couple of coats:

Peel off the masking after 3 coats:

Start removing the excess:

On the front - the paint sticks on better with plastic. Makes sense as to why it sticks to the badges better than the paint on the car. The front bumper was stuck on a bit more but still came out pretty good. Its nice that if i ever want to go back i just have to scrape it off.

Done:

Small change - but in my opinion big improvement

Looks gooooood! Did mine last weekend also. I picked up plastidip from Next Mod for $18 for the can but I barely used it. S2k4mee, if you want to do yours let me know you can use my can.

Yeah let me know for sure

And yes if you so figure out that you didn't like it or anything like that, it just peels right off. I rushed the badge on my trunk and didn't do it so well so I peeled it right off and did it again.
