Default The New Guy

Hi Everyone

I'm new to the club and thought I'd make myself known. I don't have a S2000 but hope to own one someday. I'm an advid Formula 1 Fan and would like to see Jacques or Ralf take the championship sometime soon.

Anyways, just a quick question. How many of you guys use your S year round and is a hardtop necessary for winter driving?

Mike

A hard top is not necessary, but I'm sure there will be less wear on your rag top if you use a hardtop in the off season.

Took the words right out of my mouth! Did it once and NEVER again! With even a half a cm on the road you will fishtail like a mofo! Hardtop is optional but I just love the way it looks which is why it was an absolute must for me!

I'm good Anthony, you?

Nice car s2000_rider. I think the hard top looks great. When driving with it on, does it feel like your in a coupe? Also, I heard that Honda may come out with a s2200 within the next year and it will only come in a coupe version. The engine displacement will increase to 2.2L and hp up to 250bhp. Anyway, I would rather have the convertible and get the hard top, best of both worlds.

BTW were those pictures taken at Milliken Mills park? I just live around the corner from there. Anyone near Markham?

I'm in Markham!

The S2000 is not bad in the snow if you have decent snow tires. Ask PLYRS 3 about winter driving in the S. He has a winter "prepped" S2000 (hard top + snow tires).

I still have my summer tires and have driven my S for most of the winter - this winter was very mild.

They say that the coupe will be lighter because it's not a convertible. Anyway, the coupe looks like a regular S with a Hard top. If anyone want to see a picture of it, it's in this months issue of Road & Track.

Comets, where are you in Markham? I'm at 14th and McCowain.
