Hey guys, I'm planning to do an updated and mostly Canadian oil filter study for our club. Assuming that your cars use the same filter, would anyone like to help or contribute?
So far I have bought an OEM Honda fiter, Fram Toughguard, AC Delco and Purolator Premium Plus. A friend went to the states today and will pick up the STP and maybe the Bosch filter. Can anyone suggest what other oil filters are available in Canada for our cars? I've heard of K&N, Mobil1, Purolator Pure One, maybe Pennzoil? Motorcraft?
If the Stook uses a different filter please disregard this message.

I'm planning to do something similar to these studies:

How 'bout Acura RSX filters? I think they fit the S2000.

Afaik all OEM Honda filters are the same.. So same filter goes on a Civic, Prelude, S2K, NSX, etc.. Someone correct me if I'm wrong please.

yea im pretty sure the S2K and CL use the same filters.

to be sure...

all I know is that the CL uses these model numbers from the following companies...

Fram: P-394A i believe
Mobil1: M-104

BUT you can oversize the filters as well... many believe this is better... i dunno.

i spent half the day looking for a Mobil1 filter yesterday... everyone sells the oil.. nobody sells the filters.

heres a good review of stock Honda filters vs JDM Honda filters and all the aftermarket ones...

http://www.ntpog.org/reviews/filters/filters.shtml

notice the Japan market filters are LARGER but have the same threading...

many of the reasons people are putting oversized Mobil 1s on their cars... the M-105.

Id suggest you try to get a JDM Honda oil filter also

North American OEM Honda oil filters are made by Allied Signal
while JDM are either made by Toyo Rokki or...(another Japan sullpier, I cant remember the name).

You should just include the most popular filters. Id say:

Honda Allied Signal
Honda Toyo Rokki
AC Delco
Fram (Orange Can)
Fram Double Guard Teflon
Purolator
WiX
Bosch
