Rip on Roof - Need suggestions
Hi,
I am located in Markham/Toronto...
Any suggestions who I can look for to fix this...
Trying to avoid replacing the roof, but I'd want to get it fixed as unnoticeable as possible...
Let me know.
Thank you

People on the forum often sell strips of their old, ripped softtops to use as patches. I would pick up a patch and a tube of black RTV or E6000, and apply it to the underside.
I did this on my old AP2 and it worked perfectly. I have an old ripped softtop from my AP1 that I was selling patches off of for a while but won't be back in town until US thanksgiving.
Should end up looking like this inside:

unfortunately wont fix the appearance of the tear but will patch it. people have tried sweing and the likes but ultimately you'll have to change the top. to get it aesthetically perfect.
the rubbing is common in that location I patched mine before i noticed any holes on the exterior. (i saw slight wear in the interior)

This is a pretty classic issue. The fabric gets brittle over time and starts to tear.
I have used leather in the inside instead of fabric. It wears very well.
On the outside, some black silicone helps with the appearance and waterproofs the worn area.
Eventually, you'll have to replace the top.

Pick up a couple of these black self-stick Gore-Tex patch kits at Walmart. Or Dicks or Cabellas or Crappy Tire. 15 months on my roof (patched inside and outside)
