Default Security dash light..

Hi everyone,

My car has a stock security system (only way I know is because the panic button on my fob sets it off), but when the car is locked the dash mounted LED doesn't flash? I have an aftermarket head unit, does that have anything to do with it?

That LED is not a factory item. The previous owner must have had an aftermarket alarm system installed.

That is correct. That is where mine is located on my 2000. I have the original window sticker showing it as standard equipment.
