Default Tsb 02-042

For anyone not familar with the above TSB, it has to do with the loose spark plug issue.
Check here for more information regarding this TSB.

I just spoke with Honda Canada and they know about this TSB. They are going to be releasing this TSB to DEALERS ONLY NOT TO THE OWNERS, so do not expect a letter according to the service rep I spoke with. He also said that the dealer will perform this TSB once symptoms have been observed. I asked what if an owner wants it completed before the symptoms come along because it could lead to serious engine damage. He is going to check with some others and call me back.

I suggest everyone call Honda Service to raise this issue up.

Hmm

I got nearly a totally different answer out of them last week.

They said they know all about the problem, they also said they will be sending out a letter to all owners who could have an issue. They also said its at our request that they will perform the fix.

It'll be interesting to see just which story is true. I still have the dudes name I talked to, if he's not correct then I'm going to crawl up someones ass.

Once symtoms show up, that would be too late. Dumbasses!
Once the dealers know about it, I'll go there to raise hell.

I got another call back after me calling and leaving a fairly stern voicemail. They will be sending out a letter, and we should be able to get the work done as we need it.

Screw some jackass service manager telling me to wait for my engine to be replaced.

Exactly the point!!! Are you suppose to wait for your engine to blow up before getting the TSB done

Glad that Honda of Canada is coming around on the issue.
