Years ago I did this free mod to allow the use of the remote FOB while the engine is running. I liked it as I wanted to unlock the passenger door for the wife, but it also allows you to unlock the trunk by using the remote buttons. Less reaching to the passenger door and you can keep the secret compartment locked. The default factory mode blocks use of the FOB when the car is running. Modifry used to have this mod on his website but he removed it a while back for some reason, but I just saw the link for the mod on this site in one of the other forums.

Here's the link which was started by Cyclon36 (Joe) years ago if anyone wants to do it, free mod. I cut the one wire and taped it up, but there are other ways to do it too. I haven't had any side effects in all the years that I've had it like this.
