Is this not possible, seems kinda wierd IMO

 

Search... there's a how-to modification you can do so that you can use your key to unlock while it's in the ignition.

 

personally i never lock my doors when im inside the car.

 

Reach and flip

 

Get out of the car, walk around, and reach in and unlock the door. That way you don't have to reach over.

I did the mod where you remove the two wires. I still reach over to open the passenger door most of the time. But I find it really convenient to use the remote to open the trunk.

 

Drill a small hole in the front edge of the lock button. Tie a piece of fishing line through the hole. Run it long enough to tie the other end to your stick shift. When you need to unlock, just lower your hand and give the fishing line a yank. SIMPLE!
