Last Christmas I bought Optima yellow top from costco at clearance price 119.97. Even though it's not size 51 but I have installed it with minor modification.

So far so good

The OEM battery isn't anything particularly special as far as size and such. Its just a 51 series battery which is the same for most honda's. I think the only difference is the terminals are reversed, but there should be enough slack on the wires to go that extra couple inches.

Its made by Panasonic. Panasonic = quality(imho). You will not find Panasonic in Canada anymore.
Ill try to desulfate my battery, it may help

We have a ton of room in the battery area, you can likely fit a variety of sizes if needed.

I easily fit this smaller battery in there using the stock mounting bracket. Here's my 23 lb. cat vs. 17 lb. battery, you'd never expect a cat to weigh more than a car battery, lol. Cost considerations aside, this battery is a great balance between weight savings and performance, it still performs better than the stock battery.

zeroptzero you should invest in a trickle charger if you don't have one already and make sure if your car is sitting for more than a week to have that little guy charging. Also don't ever run any accessories without the car running, my radio didn't last 30 minutes when I had my Braille and that's what killed it.

A good electronic battery charger will de-sulphate as the first step in the charging process, I have the CTEK charger , but others do that too.
