I've owned both and I prefer the 9000 RPM AP1 engine over the lower revving 8000 RPM of the AP2, But I prefer everything else about the AP2 better. Wheels, interior, bumpers, lights, handling. Drive by wire vs cable throttle has made no difference to me. An AP2 with an AP1 engine for me would be the best choice.

At the end of the day it's all about personal preference.

I would really love to try the ap1 with an ap2 transmission. Definitely seems to be a dream team combo.

AP1>AP2 for me - classic looks, I personally believe the AP1 looks better. Like I said. IMO
