Williams and BMW Relations Strained
BMW stuck between a rock and hard place..
Spies are telling me that BMW are not happy with Frank and the boyz at Williams.
They do not think the BMW engine is being developed sufficiently. They think the traction-control is rubbish. But we all knew this for quite some time.
If BMW buy out Sauber which they are supposedly going to do, then they go back even further as Sauber are NOT, ready to be a top contender and are supposedly not set up in that manner. They only have a decent wind tunnel. BMW are aware that should this happen, Williams will take off to Toyota for 2006.
Toyota makes sense for Frank as Lexus is a US brand and Williams has a lot of US sponsors: HP, Budweiser and so on. So FW are thinking about that as well as pulling an American Driver to pilot their Williams car in 2006/07. This would be a coup over Red Bull Racing no doubt.
Williams-Lexus ? I like

I think both BMW and Honda seriously underestimated the effort it takes to win in this "age" of F1. To me, they've both pulled a Villeneueve - riding the coattails of glories past.

One year ago, I was making my way to Circuit Gilles Villeneuve nicely buzzed from a pitcher of sangria at breakfast...I miss Montreal...where else can you order pitchers of sangria at breakfast at 7.30am?

I read about this a couple days ago, at the same time I read about the 2006 Red Bull Ferrari...
I could not be happier, I have never liked BMW engines in grumpy ole Frank's cars. I suspect BMW will be really down on their luck if they are not in a Williams, but this could be good in the long run, they will have to work their buts off to take a team such as Sauber and make a winner out of them.
