Did it with the black touch up paint and then sanded everything else away. Looks good only thing is it basically completely filled the depth of the engraving so it feels completely flush now. I think it feel better if there is still some depth to it as it will seem almost like it is just stamped onto the surface being flush like that. Tried another one with some white touch up spray paint that seems to be a good bit thinner so I will see how that comes out.

The white spray paint came out looking really nice. Just wish I knew how it would hold up.
I didn't have any red with me and my sc belt just got super loose so once that is fixed I will go grab some red touch up spray paint and see how that comes out.
Here are a couple pictures of the white painted engraving.

Ya, white looks good.. Doesn't stick out like a sore thumb, but is noticeable. I guess if it starts fading, anyone could easily just buy some paint thinner and clean out the paint w/ a toothbrush?

Yeah could definitely be cleaned out very easily. Simple wipe of paint thinner would do the trick and then could be re applied.
I will try a few more time or test the hold of the paint in there possibly.
I can offer this for free during the Group Buy if people are interested but like I said I am not familiar with which type of paint would be best so would be a little bit of a test. I really don't see why it wouldn't last a long time but though. Being lower than the surface there shouldn't be a whole lot of contact with the painted surface.

I'll probably try out red tomorrow. I scratched at the paint in the engraving for a while today with my nail and didn't come off at all. I really think being below where you mostly touch should protect it plenty from getting worn out quickly or anything.
