How the hell do you remove the stock striker plate?!? Te two phili screws are hard as hell , mine is already stripped

btw i got my brackets!! they are thick and of good quality!! i thought they were going to be aluminum but they came in black to match!!! that's is a +!! to be pretty honest if i knew they were black i would have bought them sooner instead trying to fix my stupid latch.

If I remove the soft top can I use the street brackets still?
I have a roll bar installed so I removed the soft top motor metal covers. Will it still work?
