Going to look at a used s2000
Advice ir reccomend . KNOW the following , what the car is REALLY worth, trade in value as well as the retail value . Do NOT trust carfax. Know what to look for when looking for accident indicators, best is to look at someone in here S2000 and find the VIN stickers in the car and know the locations for ALL of them , this will be a great tool looking for a car that might have been wrecked , did I say do NOT trust carfax?? Buying from a Honda dealer is OK but depending on the quality of the dealership a Certified car can be questionable. I know that Brandon Honda cartified a car that had issues. I worked at Kuhn Honda almost 7 years and they really do look over the cars and abide by Honda regulations for certified cars. ALL body parts MUST be OEM as well as well as wheels , badges , springs , etc etc...
There are some dealer that will sell a certified car that really should not be titled as such.

Thanx for the good advice...
ive talked to the dealership yesterday and today.
they dont seem to be in a hurry to get me to come in..but they have been helpful...hes gonna ask if they could do a compression check for me.....he even pulled the carfax..ya i know..but it told us that the car was a lease and just came to fl on march.
I reasearched where the vin #s are...i think the only thing is holding me back is the hagleing of price, i really dont like to do that.
over the phone he even gave me a total price. most dealer wont do that.
it has 45,806 miles....total price around 16k......for an 03...srry i said 04.
ive got more research on kelly for pricing......
thanx guys you all been helpful...wish me luck that the car looks good.

Negotiating price is easy........
Rule #1- Don't fall in love with the car, there are plenty more out there.
Rule #2 - Don't buy a payment, buy a fixed cost for the vehicle, if you tell them you can afford $X for a payment they will get you to that payment even if it takes 5 years to pay it off. You lose, they win.
Rule #3 - Have a set price you are willing to pay for the car going in, if they don't or won't get to that number then WALK OUT!
Rule #4 - See Rule #1, do a quick search on Autotrader.com you will be surprised at the numbers of cars and prices available.
Good Luck!

OK.....I am now proud to say that i am an owner of a
03 yellow s2000 with 46k miles.....
Thanks all for the help..Wilde Honda was great! no pressure, they even did a compression test and a valve retainer check....for free. The dealer worked with me a little to take off another 300.00 bucks, an was verry professional and kept me at ease....
I dont think they took me for a ride but i didnt get a crazy deal....
they showed me excatly what fees i paid for ..there were only 3
dealer paperwork...
ug taxes....
and tags...
in the end not bad experience...
i even saw a few body flaws and the dealer told me if i can bring it back later..week or 2 he will haveit taken care of.
im so happy..
now i need to sell my vw golf...
hope to see you all soon at a meet...
