Default Help installing S2KCR trunk protectors

Hello everyone. I installed an S2K CR wing on my '04 but I need some help installing the "protectors" that mount to each side of the trunk lid.

The CR lid I'm assumming has threaded studs to mount these pieces but of course on a base model these are nonexistant. I have the mounting holes drilled but need someone who can install 4 riv-nuts. I'll would appreciate if someone could hook me up and of course I'm not looking for a handout.

Help surely appreciated.

I bought the wing from South Bay Honda Los Gatos, CA (hondapartscheap.com) Their prices are pretty good I have found and they are excellant to deal with. Every little piece has to be ordered separately. Including every nut, bolt, screw, bracket, trim piece, protectors and the trunk lid springs I have about $750.00 in the parts. I spent another $150 to have it painted since they don't come red.

There is no template and there are a couple of simple braces you need to fab yourself as they are part of the CR trunk lid.

I bought a simple riv-nut tool but there must be some technique to this as I couldn't make it fly. Rather than force the issue I halted. I may have to find someone in the aviation biz as I believe this is a some hardware frequently used in that industry but who knows.

yup..that's the tool I have but it ain't working out like quite like that. Like many things, there may be a technique to doing this that can escape one. Sure looks simple though doesn't it? LOL.

You can run it by S&R performance. They have done some custom work and can probably fab something up for you. PM SubZero.
