Default rough idle

my car is an 05 and the idle is hard at times. it usually is hard at idle and also when i turn off the car. the car shakes a little. i mean it is only slightly and not unbearable but the car is still pretty new. it only has 56000 miles. i am not too sure if this was like this at the beginning but it is how it is now, so i am confussed. i have only had the car for about 5 to 6 months. so all this is still pretty new to me. any answer would be great.... thanks... sorry for the double post i accidently put myself on the ignore list sorry.......

Do you get a check engine light? Have you tried running an injector cleaner with a tank of gas? I use Techron about every 10K miles ans Lucas fuel system cleaner regularly.

Maybe a motor mount, the motor mouns lose the liquid when they go and cause the car to seem like it is idling rough when in fact you are just getting more vibration in the car. this would not have a CEL. If there is a CEL then its somethin else. Maybe one of many things. CEL will help though, have it scanned if you have a CEL

The only gas that I use is shells v-power and the last time that I did a fuel injection with Lucas was about 2000 miles ago. The maint req' does flicker when I start the car but then it disappears. I thought that it was probably just because of the oil change time but I will check the sensors and also how can I tell if the motor mounts are bad? Thanks.

the motor mounts are liquid gel filled, the gel leaks out or in some instances there will be a tear in the motor mount. Should be fairly obvious....do you have a Check Engine light ??

Nope just only a maintain req. But it only stays on for a second. It's no big deal though. The car still runs, drive, and feels great. Can't ask for anything better.

Probably a motor mount then. The worse the motor mounts get the worse the vibration will be. Replace both and you should be good to go

Maintenece light is based on the miles the car has, when you change the oil reset it and it will come on again in either 5000 or 7500 miles to remind you of service
