For daily driving, go SC. Talk to Elroy.

your not constantly under boost with either.

depends on your experience level. supercharger will probably be the least amount of maintenance.

somewhat experienced = turbo or supercharger
not experienced = supercharger

WHATs THAT SHIP MOFO!

YOU and your 16" training wheels!

To give you an unbiased opinion...

Depends on what you want to do with the S other than a daily!

AutoX, short track, and time attack are better handled with a sc although a turbo is just a capable BUT you will need additional heat suppression. Drag and long track I would lean towards turbo since the throttle is not all over the place. Even with these there are still many exceptions. Rob and D's S's are around 300 whp and will both be cooking BBQ at the next SuperMeet after they warm up and thier IATs are at Normal Operating Temperatures

Real world - you want to do a TON of research!

EDIT: for Rob and D lack of humor!

300whp? You crazy?

If I put my car back on the dyno and it makes 300whp, I will need to be restrained.

500whp or bust...

Wink

I am at 10lbs currently and making 400-420 to the tires depending on the dyno, weather etc etc blah blah

at 22 lbs it is knocking on the door of 600......

at 10 lbs or less the car is very drivable for DD

either SC or Turbo at the "bolt on" level with mild tuning will be perfect for DD...if all the kit is there and properly installed.

I am running a little hot right because I dont have proper fans installed but when she is 100% she is bulletproof...I have the temps and witnesses to prove it....LOL

I personally would find an experienced shop that will stand behind thier work 100%....shade tree modding is fine but... you have more recourse and peace of mind with a shop install IMHO.

.02 worth of advice from a mechanically retarded lima bean...

I agree with Elroy with the exception that Rob's car is around 300rwhp. It did 561rwhp when I had it. Even with the boost controller unhooked it is closer to 400rwhp. Rob's does run warm but nothing that can't be handled. Rob's will be better with heat shielding.

If you want a 300 rwhp daily driver I would go with the Kraftwerks S/C like Elroy and Travis Latrell have. S&R installed both of them and they have great reliable power.

I also agree with the idea that if you want more power in the future then go turbo. The air to air intercooler does block some air and can cause problems but usually only on cars setup for big power. Managing air flow and heat supression will help that. Rob's car is coming in to fix the airflow problem caused by after market bumper and parts.

Another thing a good turbo setup will generally cost you more than the S/C.

So all in all I would go with the Kraftwerks S/C for a daily driver and see if you are happy with the power. I think you will be. Later if you want more then sell the Kraftwerks and go turbo. The S/C setup will have great resale power.

If you would like more info PM me, call me, or come by S&R Performance. I have had a supercharged and then turboed it so I can give you plenty of information on both. We have a couple of different Turbo designs in stock and can do anything you need done. BTW we are the only authorized Kraftwerks S/C installation center in the area.
