Default Valve adjustment and AP2 retainer install

Any one in the bay area interested in installing some AP2 retainer and doing a valve adjustment for me?

I am also interested in having this done. Was going to have that Maruicci guy do it when he was in town, but that fell through.

I'd be interested in helping / doing a tech day at my house if somebody knows how to do this. I can make my garage and tools available.

Realistically, is this something we could all learn to do ourselves and have a tech day at someone's house?

Valve adjustments are that hard. I did mine accompanied by a certified mechanic and it was pretty straight forward. I don't have the confidence to do anyone else's. It's too important of a process to be trusted to me.

I would suggest a "tech day" with someone whom has done this "many" times, aka for a living. There is a special tool from Honda, Snap-on, and Mac that makes this a smoother process since the tolerances for this process is so damn narrow. People have torn up their valve train assembly just by missing the mark by a few hundredths/thousandths. With the work going on with my S this week, I will ask for the tech-day BUT since they are so "hell bent" on doing everything correctly the first time, they may not want to put their name on this, but I will ask since it is something I need to have done soon!

I did mine 2 months ago. Its not to bad of a process if you know anything about mechanical stuff. There is a thread on here explaining everything. If you need anything else pm me.

I can tell you there is a "feel" to it that experienced adjusters have. feeler gauges will work but there is a "knack" to it that will produce better results. also the gaps and tolerences are different for exhaust Vs. intake sides.....the special tool used is unique and will cut down on the aggrevation factor vs. the old screwdriver and wrench method.

my suggestion is a tech day at S&R and approach them about a group rate on adjustments
