Actually mine are set to 4.2 and i am trying to figure out how to change them now

The Dragon channel is 4.0 so I wanted to get out of the 4's for our channel.

If everyone has GMRS in our group we could use the upper channels 15-22. Otherwise it is better to stay in the 1-7 range. 8-14 will work with FRS only at the lower power. I have the chart with me.

I have ch 1-50 and the ability to set 142 group/privacy codes.
Help a noob out here. What's 4.2?

If all of our group has channels 15-22, I would suggest we use one of them. The radios transmit on the highest power in that frequency range. From what I understand, the Midlands channels above 22 are hard toned for exclusive communication betrween two radios on the same frequency. Only the newer midlands have this.

You geeks, Ahem i mean guys obviously know more about the radio thing than I do so feel free to pick a cahnnel, any channel. I have channels 1 thru 22 with sub channels 1 to 38 on each of those.

Channels 1 thru 7 and 15 thru 22 broadcast in the hi power range

Someone make the call and inform everyone.
