From Dillard Georgia, The Tampa crew made it safely to Dillard, everyone enjoyed the day, dinner at Mama G's and now relaxing.
Tomorrow begins at 8:00AM with the traditional route (Warwoman road, Highlands, the Mini Dragon, etc.) to Fontana to arrive in time for the Poker Run, a few Dragon Runs, etc.

We all had a great friday. Most of us were at the carwash befor daybreak, left Dillard at 8am and decided on the traditional warwoman road route. Got into Fontana at lunch time and we all did the poker run. 137 mile of great roads. I am currently holding a full house but the winner will be announced at dinner on Saturday. We had cocktails (martinis included) before dinner in Kaleb and Stefanies room followed by a cookout dinner and the infamous beer swap. having a great time with lots of laughs.
Scott, we miss you and please know that you are here in spirit with us. BTW they have made me be the leader for the entire trip
Then Barry and Kalibo yelled at me for loosing them, such grattiude for my excellent navigation job. Well I did get lost in Robinsville for a few microseconds.

Hey guys - sitting here in the lobby for WiFi and what is the first website I load up? (sad
)
I just wanted to say for anyone who's been reading this and wondering about "The Dragon" and all of this craziness, a few things from a first-timer's perspective.
1. I did not expect it to be this awesome
caveat: Awesome is used in the real sense - it is awe-inspiring to enjoy this landscape, and also to be impressed with what your car is actually capable of doing. All of the guys thought I was silly for wanting to hug my car after the first run on Smokey Mountain roads (before we even got to the Dragon)
2. This brings me to #2 - I haven't even driven the Dragon yet and I'm having a blast! The whole area is really the draw- not just 11mi of road. We're going to do the Dragon tomorrow and I hear it's like the icing on the cake.
3. This is what our cars were deigned to do. It seems sinful to take the car back to FL now and drive it on crap like I-75. We were followed by a Lotus Elise and a Ferrari (California? 550? Who knows) and both could not handle nearly as well as we did. If that's a 550, then that's a $220K car that can't keep up with an S. (Be it driver or car, the result is the same - driving the S in a pack of 6 people all hugging the turns like no one else is a fantastic feeling. )
I am euphoric and I can't wait to wake up tomorrow and do even more challenging roads!
Also - We miss you, too Scott! And Chip - you were a fine leader don't worry buddy. But if you leave us again we'll kick your ass

WOW!!!!! what a day. Blacknot, Jimreaper and I were at the dragon when they opened the gates this morning. We rolled in with three s2000s from Charlotte and were the only cars on the dragon, both ways. We ran both ways HARD and did not see another car on the route. We ran back hard on Hellbender, once again, seeing no other cars,... I pulled in next to Barry at Fontana and said " I think I just had an orgasm" Those two runs were a once in a lifetime opportunity and i am so glad that I did.
The group rollout to the dragon was quite spirited and it was awsome seeing 123 S's having FUN.
It started raining at 1230 but we still headed out the Cherohala down 68 to TN and across to 129 and up again. Even with top up, we all had a good time.
BTW, I won top hand at the poker run with a full house Aces over 8s. Won a beautiful shirt and a bunch of other goodies.
Leaving for home at 8am...it will be a very long day.
