whirling sound
brake pad wear
wheel spokes chopping the air
helicopter above you
ceiling fan in your kitchen
without much more description or actually hearing the noise ourselves, we cant really help you diagnose the sound.
your description leaves much to the imagination

go see Jeff...he will get you fixed up.
By more descriptive I meant
try to pinpoint EXACTLY what you are doing and the conditions you are in when you hear the noise. Braking, hot weather, in the morning, at night, coasting, clutch in, 3rd gear etc
this is important because it could sound like something simple but in fact be much more sinister.
This is not jumping your case at all just an example of why its so important
example: clickity clackity sound coming from under my hood when the engine is on
the problem is stated but not defined at all hard to put a finger on the problem
clickity clackity from the top of the motor...started off medium volume and it has gotten a little louder over time = most likely a valve adjustment issue = easy fix
clickity clackity when motor is on. goes away when i add oil = probably a timing chain tension issue = little more difficult to fix but still ok
clickity clackity from the engine that gets louder and faster as I rev the engine = proably a spun bearing = flat bed the car to S&R and pray = serious bad news
All three could pertain to the original example description.
get her checked out...she talking to you, you better listen LOL

Do you have BFGoodrich tires?
mine whirl as I decellerate and add much noise at speed.
kinda weird sound at first. I drive my WRX daily now. that seems to have solved the problem. Somehow the noise always comes back when I drive the Honda.
hmmmmmm
