so I thought I had a nail in the beater tire.. so I've been driving the S the past couple days until I had time to get it in the garage. So I pull the Sentra in the garage and get ready to plug the tire and pull out the nail. I get the tire off and have all my plugging tools laid out, then I use a screw driver to pry up what I thought was a nail head and it was just a round rock with some paper around it.

for no nail in the tire

for getting totally prepped for nothing.

Yeah I'll get my air compressor back from my moms house once I move, I miss my air tools! I hope they haven't rusted up sitting in my box.

Yeah, HD built in tuner most likely I'll need, plus I need to make sure I have all the correct inputs that I need and at least 720p and some other stuff I'm learning about.

Be wary of the HDMI cables.....It's $100 for 3 feet! Just outrageous for a cable. :hangsheadandshakesindisbelief:

Jake, you only need a built-in HD tuner if you are going to use an Off-air antenea. If you plan to use some other source i.e Comcast or DirecTV, you will only need an HD ready TV. The tuner is only going to run you cost up.

You will need at least 720p, but since this is a long term investment, I would go with 1080i at least. There is also 1080p, but there isn't much out there right now in that.

You also want to consider contrast ratio. 10,000 : 1 is great! I wouldn't go any lower than 6,000 : 1

Glare is probably the next consideration. LCDs have come a long way on this, and so have select plasma. Still, Plasma FTW IMO! You may want to see if you can find the model you are looking at online to check the glare before you buy. If not tucked in a shelf or cabinet, the store lighting is usually far more dramatic than your house, so if it looks good there, then it will be even better at you crib!

Also, make sure there are plenty of Compontent (RGB) inputs. You will need one for your primary HD source, another for PIP if you want that, and at least one for your Wii. An HD DVD could use them, but they usually also have S-video or DIgital Coax to boot.

Just my 2
