Austin January 23rd Meet and Drive
To celebrate and kick off 2016 we are having a BBQ gathering at Snow's followed by a drive if the weather permits. The Snow BBQ event is regardless of weather. We are meeting at the Walmart near Manor road and 290 at 8 AM for the drive to Lexington. If you want to drive on your own, plan on meeting at Snow's in Lexington at 9 AM. We will be parking on the square near the courthouse. The drive will begin after we finish our meal. The line at Snow's is outside so dress accordingly. The drive will take the back roads to Taylor and there will be a photo stop across the street from the Taylor Cafe. From there we will return to the Walmart. The drive from Snow's will take about an hour and a half. The forecast looks good but feel free to drive the ride of your choice.

To anybody meeting us there ----- because Snows is busy with a lot of cars vying for spots in front of their building, we are planning on parking a block north in front of the town square. Then our cars will be safe from other drivers, and we can get a nice group picture.
If you get there before us - since we'll be leading a large group of cars - grab a table and get any other early arrivals together.
Note, too, that the drive afterwards that we've mapped out is short (1.5 hours) but on roads that we have not driven before as a group... that'll wrap up well before lunch so you can still have the majority of the day for other activities! And if you can't join us for that drive, come to the BBQ anyway because it's an easy and short drive back to Austin from there.
