Back from rental car hell
I finally got my civic back from Jeff's yesterday after six weeks of driving crappy rental cars. The first, a white Ford Focus, had the brakes go out so I traded it in for a totally stripped Toyota Corolla. I'm just glad that I didn't have my S2000 yet because if my seven year old Civic makes those cars look as bad as it did, I can't imagine what driving them after getting used to an S2000 would be like. Yesterday it was nice to get back behind the wheel of a manual transmission car with VTEC.
All of you that recommended Jeff's were right. They do excellent work but can take a while. The idiot guy at USAA that took three weeks to approve the additional damage didn't help matters much either. I bet he's wishing that they had totalled the car because the final tab at Jeff's came out to be $4732 and the rental car cost $995. Jeff's also didn't fix my bent driver's seat correctly so that also needs to be done sometime which will probably push the total repair cost over $6000, including the rental car. All of this for a car that is maybe worth $5000.
Anyways, at least I can somewhat enjoy driving again until my S2000 comes in sometime next month.
See you all later.
