We're hosting another watch party this Sunday evening to watch the replay. Our Malaysian theme meal is whole roast pig, cooked in an earth oven in our own back yard. The cooking will be an all day event (visitors to the Pacific rim or Hawaii know what I'm talking about) starting very early and ready for the table around 6 PM with the race viewing to follow. Throughout the day prior to the race we'll be enjoying some sim-racing with the PS2 (GT4 / F1) and our carbon fiber racing cockpit. The video will be displayed via a 10' DLP projection so some Best Motoring, superbike and auto racing before the main event is in order.

If anyone would like to donate to the cause we have some remaining needs:

Banana leaves or whole plants

river stones (granite or limestone) about 6"-10" diameter

firewood (about 1/4 cord)

burlap sacks

chicken wire

The roasting pit was dug with tremendous effort last weekend due to the stony Austin soil / bedrock. The guest of honor awaits thawing in the deep freeze.

We are supplying the meat and rice. Good side dishes could include bread, salad, veggies and tropical fruit. Something to wash everything down would also be a good idea.
