Default New S2k in SA...

Well, I just had a spiritual 'bonding' experience with a friend's S2000....

I was on a business trip in Cleveland this week... Instead of flying back to SA on Friday evening, I flew to Atlanta, GA and picked up a 2002 white/red S2k for a good friend of mine here in San Antonio. He had pre-arranged all of the title transfers, payment, etc. All I had to do was show up and drive off.

Friday evening after I picked up the car, I drove to a small town (Newnan) just south of Atlanta and checked into a hotel.

This morning I woke up bright and early and began the journey back to SA...Exactly 13 hours later, and no less than several thousand dead bugs on the front of his car, I pulled into my driveway at the house with the car. 995 miles on the odometer from the point I picked up the car, I had it to his house.

Wow... My head is still buzzing from spinning 4,500-5,000rpm all day on the highway :-)

Sounds like you had a good drive. I bet you are glad the car didn't have an Invidia cat back on it. Do you have to wash it before delivery?? I know how you don't like to wash S2Ks.

Speaking of drives are there any plans in the works? This nice weekend has given me an itch for a S2K drive.

haha, as a matter of fact, I didn't even clean the windshield the entire way from Atlanta to SA... By the time I got to his house to drop off the car it was dark out and you literally almost couldn't see out the windshield any more.... It was great.

As for a drive through the hillcountry, I'm shooting for doing something towards the end of April.... Maybe around the 22nd or something.

haha, nope... As a matter of fact, the S2000 is one of THE most comfortable cars to take a road trip in. The seats are so supportive, I never get any back pains when taking an S2k on a long trip. In most vehicles, I'm usually hurting after 8 hours or so in the seat... Not so in an S2k...
