Default Sure is quiet in here....

Damn, it seems like this place is all but dead now.....

At any rate -- us San Antonians haven't done anything in a while. I was on vacation for 2.5 weeks, consequently missing the last two SASCA AutoCrosses, and have been studying for a certification for my field of career. Once things settle down, I'd like to have a get-together/drive/movie/whatever... Right now I'm looking at maybe doing something on August 16th. I'm thinking perhaps a BBQ or something (not just going to Rudy's, but more like everybody brings a side dish or choice of meat).....

Anyways, just some thoughts... What do you guys think?

How is everybody????

I think that would be great. If its not to much trouble for you guys. Just keep us updated on the plans and we will be there.
By the way, when is the next autocross??

Just got back from an exciting trip to Minnesota for my wife's family reunion. The Spam Museum was the highlight of the trip.

Ricky, what you got planned for the 16th?

Hey, Henry! I was wondering where you'd been lately. Did you guys ever end up going to Vancouver this summer? Our trip went well... Almost 5700 miles round-trip!

As for the 16th.... I'm thinking about having a BBQ at my place (BBQ chicken, burgers, or whatever else anybody wants) and having whoever comes bring a side dish of their choice (potato salad, chips, desert, whatever).... Hopefully we can get some turnout when I say there will be free food...

Vancouver got the ax because of Band Camp for my daughter. Sounds like you had a good long trip. Was it in the S?

My schedule looks good for the 16th. I think you are going to have to offer more than free food if you want a good turnout. How about a new clutch? That will generate some interest.

Are you going to S2KDays? I'm already signed up and hopefully I'll meet someone with the 4.44 gears. Can you do the install on that?

d'oh, that sucks about the Vancouver trip... Hey, maybe next year you can make a trip up there for our wedding.

We actually ended up driving our Integra GS-R up there. A much more comfortable ride, with a longer wheelbase, not to mention it has lots of cargo room.

And hey, my car may be getting a new clutch soon, compliments of Honda. Gunn Honda isn't willing to go into my transmission yet for the 2nd gear grind (because they can't duplicate it when they granny-shift it at 4000rpm, even though I *told* them it would only do it on high-rpm shifts between 7000-9000rpm), but they may be willing to try TSB054 (clutch buzzing) to see if that makes any difference, because I DID experience the buzzing sound many thousand miles ago when the car only had a few thousand miles on it. One guy on the forum mentioned that the clutch disc TSB ended up solving his 2nd gear grind problems, so we'll see what happens. I'm supposed to take it back to them the week I get back to have them replace the passenger side axle/halfshaft when they get the parts in. I'll have them do the clutch at the same time, while they have the car in the shop.
