Default What is that behind the cup holder?

I was flipping thru the last issue of Car and Driver at the bookstore and I thought I saw 2 buttons behind the cupholder on the Red test car. Were my eyes deceiving me or was that some sort of control. Heated seats?

Where did they do the tests? In European models, the other button is the headlamp washer.

It was a US model, but had a hardtop. It is the defroster for the hardtop. I would have thought that it would have shared the button on the dash for the soft top defroster instead of having its own button.
