You should also delete every *.tmp file you have on your system, reboot, run scandisk, and then run the defrag. These steps should be done every week to keep your system clean.

Although not a real aswer to your problem, just buy a computer from my brother and myself. we have started a business doing so. PM me for info and pricing. I'll defintely hook it up and make sure you're happy.

I would do a disk check on your harddrive first. If your defrag keeps stopping, it could be b/c you have a bad sector on the hard drive. If your hard drive checks out, and you want to keep your computer, just save any data you want to keep and reinstall windows from scratch (format the hard drive during the setup). Set up partitions on the hard drive and save to the one that windows is not on. You won't have to worry about losing that data unless the hard drive crashes.
