Looking for a spare OEM wheel and tire for the rear....(cheap/reasonable too)

Last Thursday, I left the office about 10:00pm and get to my car and had a flat. It's bad enough to have to change one tire, but it was a rear, so....had to do the swap with the front....

Well, anyways...the tire shop won't repair because the nail was too close to the corner of the tire. I needed new rubber soon, but I was hoping to get another couple of months (3-6??). Until I get around to getting the tires, my car is outta commission.

So, I'm looking for a temp wheel to run on until I get new rubber, and then serve as a "back-up" for the next time....

Let me know if anyone local has one sitting collecting dust, but holding air..

PS--are the Discount Tire shops all related? I've seen the recent quotes that folks are getting @ $385 or so for both rears, but the guy off of 59N quoted me $250 for one, which he didn't even have in stock.

Sorry about your predicament, but I don't have a spare with a street tire on it. I might have a rear OEM tire that could hold you over for a few months. Let me take a look in the garage and I'll post back later this afternoon.

As far as your Discount Tire question goes, they are all related, but the prices are determined by the store manager. These prices may vary from store to store, so that's why I deal with Trevor in League City(1 mile south of NASA 1). Other people on the board have their discount tire store 'hook-ups' to, so you might want to do a search on Discount Tire within the HouStook forum.

I have a rear you can use (wheel and tire) but you have to pick it up today.

Thanks, I'll give them a call this week...in the mean time, Jeff hooked me up with a loaner....so at least "Yeller" is back on the road.
