Default Moving back to Houston

I'll be moving back to Houston in a month or so, and I'm curious about Texas emissions. My S has a test pipe installed with the O2 bung welded on so it won't show a CEL. What is involved in Texas emissions tests? Do they just hook up a OBDII to your car, or do they measure the emissions coming from the tailpipes too?

I also want to meet some fellow S2000 owners in the area. Hopefully see you guys at a meet in the next month or so. Cheers!

THey hook it up to the OBDii first... then if it can't read it, they will put your car on the dyno/exhaust reading machine (or at least that's what they did on my M3)

I have a test pipe as well and was very worried about not passing. But I too have a fix on my cell so the engine light doesnt come on. If you would like, I could show you where I got my emissions done. I passed just fine. They hooked it up in the passenger side, didnt really pay attention where but you should be fine.

Yeah, they hook up the OBDII reader on the passenger side of the car here in Georgia (I've had to show them where to find it ). I should be fine as long as they only check the OBDII.

If you could let me know where you got yours done, that would be cool. I'll try and hook up with you and the Houston club when we move.

Thanks!
Nick
