Service Recommendation
My wife took her Civic into a dealer (PM me for a name) for a timing belt change and 40K mile service. The car is an '04 w/ 47K miles. We know it needs tires. The dealer called telling is it needs new brake fluid, power steering fluid, rear brake service (no new linings - just an adjustment), and the big one - busted control arm bushings. I want a second opinion. I can do the brake fluid by myself (I used to flush my brake fluid on my ol' RX-7 track car). As for power steering fluid, they want $105 to flush it. Really? That much? In essence, I am looking for someone reputable who will take a look at the things that need work - the brakes and control arm bushings and see if they are really in need of attention. Any helpful advice would be appreciated.
And yes, I still own my '06 S2000. It has been sitting in my garage. Open the doors, and it still smells like new with only 3300 miles on the odometer.
