Brake Fluid Change
#2
For brake fluid a lot of manufacturers recommend every two years though it depends how you use it really. On a track car its a very good to bleed out whats near the caliper after every event. Motul 660 actually degrades substantially after 6 months!
Honda coolant is good for about 4 years if i remember correctly.

If you look in the FAQ, you can see the service schedule: https://www.s2ki.com/forums/uk-irela...6/#post5798519
Brake fluid is every 3 years, Coolant after 10 years or 120k miles, and thereafter every 5 years or 60k miles.

The fancy fluids are more hygroscopic and will degrade faster. Having said that their wet boiling point is still better than most bog standard fluid's dry boiling point.
As for draining the caliper - you can but your fluid circulates as it heats up anyway so I'm not quite sure of the benefit.

It's a good indicator, of course if you want to spend £400 snap on do a very accurate one I think it's a re-badged Pagid unit. best place to measure is the reservoir as that's where the system gets most air/moisture contact, it's when it gets round to the cylinders that the effects show, you don't want spongy brakes due to bubbles in the cylinders, also it's likely to be the cause of corrosion on the pistons. And we all know what a PITA that is with chocolate Honda calipers.
