Default Alignment help

Specs: '07; stock suspension; just installed Hankook RS3 225/45/17(F), 255/40/17(R); don't care too much about tire wear, wanting mostly performance, primary goal is track, secondary goal is autocross.

Alignment ??? Max out front camber and caster? Rear camber? 0 toe up front, stock toe-in rear?

I will also search more in the forums, because I know it has been answered a million times...but that is the problem it has been answered a million times and have to filter stuff out to get my answer.

Thanks ahead of time.

Try the Race and Competition forums. With a corner balance/ U.K. alignment and your stock suspension you should be fine.

For the best feel with out care of tire wear.....

Max front camber and caster.

The RS3s have soft sidewalls. You want as much camber as possible to stop them from rolling so you dont have to up the pressures more than you need.

For the rear camber add .5-.7 degree to what you have in the front. (ie. Front-2 rear 2.5-2.7)

Front toe = 0

Rear toe...

I have an AP1 which tends to be slightly tail happy so for the track I run .30 on each side or .60 (factory is 23ish each side). But for the AP2 factory is .15 each, and Euro is .20.

The only difference between the alignment I use for track and auto-x is the rear toe. Like I said I run .30 for the track to keep the rear end in check for the high-speed corners, but for auto-x I run .20 (less than stock settings for me) since its slower speed and I like to be able to make the car rotate better when I need it to.
