BTW, next time you replace your rotors - I'll gladly take them off your hands, if free.

If not for the cracked rotor, I probably would have been screwed on Monday by my rear pads. I've always used OEM rear pads on the track, and they just seem to last forever, so I forget to check them. I decided to go ahead and check them last night, and they were about 2/3 gone. I replaced them with another set of new OEMs, did a full flush with my usual synthetic fluid and bedded everything in. I had completely forgotten how the brakes are supposed to feel. They feel awesome now!
You replace them OEM AP1 rear or AP2 rear?

I guess they are AP2 rear pads. I didn't know the rear pads changed...

Yep. AP1 Made in Japan Nissin, have some sorta gold looking metallic flecks in it. Don't know if there's a performance benefit, but they last longer

Whatever pads were on the car when I got it lasted until yesterday (24K miles, several autocrosses, and a day at ECR), so that seems pretty good to me.

The part number on my box is 43022-S2A-000, which doesn't max the AP1 or AP2 part numbers I found on HondaAutoMotiveParts.com. Their part numbers are 45022-S2A-000 for '00 and 45022-S2A-E50. Did I get Bamboozled?

E50 is AP2, 000 is AP1. 45022 vs. 43022 designates Front or rear. I don't know which is which. I'll have to look when I get home. But if it's 000 and the pad has "Nissin" cast into it's its AP1.

DOH! I'm an idiot. I was looking at the "Front Brakes" page on HondaAutomotiveParts.com. I guess the dealer in Frisco gave me AP1 pads, and I guess I'm glad...

Just got done changing pads/rotors. First side went well other than the screws being a little tough. Not till I got onto the other side when screws on rotors were jammed and that is when I decided to leave them out. So driver side has the screws and pass side doesn't..lol

I still have to do the bedding part for pads+rotors but I am burnt out on working on cars this whole weekend. Changing Tranny fluid on Civic Si is the worst PITA ever!!

Can't change brake fluid or tranny as jackstands I have are taller than the max height of jack FTMFL!

And thank you gernby, car feels awesome!!

And the exhaust leak is because welding is coming off on exhaust close to cat. I hope it will hold up on the track day else I'ma have to bring the exhaust top down!

If we are going to meet up somewhere to drive to Cresson as a group, where would be the best place, and what route do you guys suggest?

Google Maps says the shortest route from McKinney is to go 121 all the way through downtown Fort Worth, but Mapquest shows it better to take 121 to 820 (78 miles), and loop over the north side of FW (81 miles). Do you guys want to meet somewhere on 121?
