Just got this email on the Drivers Edge emailing list so I thought I would pass it on. I will be instructing as well as bringing my S2000 to this event. Also if you want me to be your instructor let me know and that can be arranged.

Kinda pricey, but OK for a 2-day event. I'm worried about weather, though.

I think I'm registered, but since I'm paying w/ CC I didn't get a confirmation yet. It just said to print something out and fax/mail it.

If no one else needs your expertise more, you can be my instructor. I'll be in my S2000 on street tires.

BTW... I haven't been to MSR, will there be covered pits/garages available for us?

Are we going to have 10 people, to qualify for the Car Club discount?

Also, do you have any general commentary for the course itself?

I did MSR clockwise in December with Driver's Edge and it was a BLAST!! Whoever does it will NOT be disappointed.

Work is too busy now, otherwise I'd buy some of the new R compound Kumho Ecsta 710's in some FAT sizes and go out there.

They have garages but they are only for the members. The students will park out in front of the clubhouse area, which gives a good view of the action. The clubhouse is really nice and is a great place to hang out between sessions.

You are the only S2000 that I know at this point. Gernby might be going as well but he has not signed up for it yet.

MSR is a great little track. Top speeds on the course will only be around 100mph and most the corners are taken in third gear. It is definitely a momentum track so I would say it is perfectly suited to cars like ours.

I have signed up for this event, and am hoping for weather like today.

I don't think Cory minds how long the tires last as long as he can pass a certain GT3

I will be on the same drag radials I have been on for the past several events. These darn things refuse to die.

Hmm, differing opinions between Iain and David. That's a first.

My current Victoracers still have tread, but they're slippery/slimey on the track. I consider them a finished set. I guess they ran out of heat cycles.

I may give the 710's a shot, I've also been told I can fairly easily get 295s on the front and maybe 335's in the back with some 'sticking out' of the fender well.

Considering how well the 275 front/315 rear felt on the track, I can only imagine how awesome it would be with a stickier tire and wider widths. Wow... I'd probably break some suspension bits with the lateral loads.
