I think you should leave that to those that actually know how to drive...

I have a new pair of front Kumhos in my garage, just waiting. I'll have them mounted before the May 4th event. Unfortunately, I can't make it to the April 5th event
. Ma'Ma'Ma'Mama says I have to help pack and move that weekend...

The Maverick PCA Autox 101 & 102 schools have already come and gone.
The DFW Evolution Autocross School was this past weekend in Mineral Wells, although they are having another Phase 1 school in Austin the weekend of July 27/28. The Evo schools are expensive ($200 per Phase), but they are the best autocrossing schools in the country. Taught by current and former Solo II National Champions, and the best "bang for the buck" upgrade you can make to improve your lap times.
The Texas Region SCCA is hosting their annual Solo (autocrossing) School Saturday, April 26th. This is a less expensive alternative to the Evo schools, with a lot of similar basic information taught by the Region's best drivers, including many current and former National Champs - Texas Region has more than its fair share of good autocrossers. This is a good school - I did this one before I started my first full season of autocrossing, and learned a lot, although not as much as I learned at Evo Phase I.
There is also "unofficial" instruction available at a lot of local autocrosses. I know the local S2k autocrosses feature pretty decent free instructors (gernby and myself being two of them
), and I'll probably also be unofficially instructing at the Maverick PCA autocross this Sunday (March 30th).
Hey gernby, why don't you get those new Kumhos mounted and come on out on Sunday? I'd love to give you a chance to redeem yourself.
