input needed... what digi cam should i get?
okay well after reading some online reviews etc.. ive got it narrowed down to these two digital cameras:
canon a620
http://www.dpreview.com/reviews/spec...canon_a620.asp
and
Olympus SP-320
http://www.dpreview.com/reviews/spec.../oly_sp320.asp
anybody have any info / input on these? or how about some cameras that i have not mentioned? im not looking to do any "serious" photography.. but i do go on several trips a year.. and would like something to take some nice shots with... and i wuold like to take some nice pics of my car from time to time. just a little point and shoot which some options. oh, and whats with the some of these "super slim" cams? IE this guy:
http://www.dpreview.com/reviews/spec...anon_sd450.asp
what are the compromises (to the cam's i listed above)? or are they just as good quality, but thinner?
oh and my budget is about $250.. thanks!

Not having used either I would go w/ the Olympus... I had a Canon and it had focus issues... besides the Olympus has a ton more features AND it uses standard AA batteries (you can get nice sony rechargable AAs) so when you're traveling you can bring a fresh pair of batteries just in case... or pick some up at the local corner store. (This is a *huge* deal in my book when shopping for portable electronics)

i think that canon uses AA's aswell... umm this is tough.. im more concerned with the image quality.... or if i should just get one of those slim cams by samsung, sony, canon, casio etc. if they offer the same pic quality...

I recently just bought a Pentax S6. It's nice, small, and cheap. 6mp and has numerous different modes. It about the size of a credit card and less then an inch deep to give you an idea. I keep in it my S for "those moments." Also bought a 2GB card thinking the 6mp might take up more room on a card then my old 4mp....well, I can take 1,296 pics with it, LOL! I'm sure that would last for a couple trips before filling it up.
