Default Ipod solutions for AP1

I know this is probably an ancient topic but I just wanted to get opinions on the best MP3/Ipod hookup for an AP1 (02/03 radio). I am looking for a direct hookup that charges the Ipod with control remaining with the actual ipod. Back in the day there was a PIE aux mod that I believe just plugged into the CD changer port or something like that, is there a newer/better product or is that still the best bet?

^^ I have similar setup, you can hookup any mp3 player/ipod/iphone using the two jacks available...one for mp3 players..the 3.5mm jack and one for ipods and stuff.

They have all models I believe - they will even let you pick it up locally to avoid shipping charges.

Thanks might give them a call, only downside is that it doesn't charge the 3G iphone.

I don't remember the brand model but I got mine from that Car Toys place by 75 in Plano. I actually dropped by and they had something similar that would connect to the CD Changer socket and work as a CD Changer for the stock CD Player.

Frys sells a "patch cable" that is made by isimple that converts any dock connector to a 4Gnano/iphone 3G/S into a compatible one.

Joe, try to find a AP2 HU I'm saving theipod adapter for you. I bet you can find an AP2 HU under $60.
