Thumbs up Missing 2nd

let me start by saying im not talking about missing 4th and going into 2nd...

Ive herd a few other s2k drivers say they have a problem missing second. i have this problem as well only when hard shifting like raceing. its ONLY second i have no problem getting any other gear hard...if i take my time i can get the gear no problem but you lose time that way...what might be wrong? is it me? the car? what? i kinda think its the car since i have herd other drivers say the same and also like i said i have no problem grabing any other gear...

also last night this happened i missed 2nd and now its hard to shift 1st and 2nd like it goes into gear but it seems like the shifter or something is rubbing makeing the shifter stiff...what might be wrong here?

as far as i know the car has no tranny mods. only thing i have done to change the way the car shifts from stock would be rick's counter sunk shift knob. but i still had this problem with the stock shift knob.

Thanks for any help...

I've found mine has a little notch in it going to 2nd as well, but it's done it since it was new and I've never had any real issues so I've just learned to live with it.

It's embarrasing, but that's all.

so what do you do after "missing" the gear that caused the problems?

almost shifting into gear and then revving cuz you think it's in gear should not cause damage, right? it's the same as revving the engine?

Change the fluid with gm syncromesh. imo it's great. Had it in my teg and I had that 2nd gear grind, put syncromesh in and never had it again.
Or, maybe you should stop racing and drive the car normally
