i have been having that problem too...missing second....but then again i need to change tranny fluid so that might be the problem

I've never ever ever EVAH grinded a gear so much as i've done in my S on... yes... 2nd gear. Sometimes it will seem like its in and POP out... sometimes i get the grind. (2005 ap2)

about 2 months ago I was pounding it pretty hard and it ground going into 2nd AND 3rd... then its like everything loosened up and it shifted easy into all the gears. This last time it happened 1st gear got tight again. 1st time that happened i thought i screwed something up but "casual drivig" never gave any problems. dunno what its about. I don't remember having any problems on the girls 2000 AP1..

As for the embarasment factor... oh heck ya... i know how to drive a stick dangit and everytime it happens I feel like a complete idgit.... bleh.

UPDATE:

so i have replaced my tranny fluid with honda mtf and i can grab second hard than i ever could before...kinda sucks i lost so many races because i missed second....and it was only 30 mins and $15 to fix the problem...thanks all that helped...

I need a tranny fluid change too....anybody has that pump that makes it easy to change fluid? LOL

mozo ive got that pump if u wana use it...or its only like 7 bucks at the parts store
