MSR lap record
W2W racing, the class is ST2, spring rates 550f 450r, and oh by the way. SOS supercahrged277hp, on Hoosierslicks. But with my my old motor which was an Endyn built motor with 230hp, i ran 1:20.3 on crappy tires. So the hp hasnt made as big a difference as you might think. and the SOS system added 60lbs to the car and it runs alot hotter, which is a problem i am trying to deal with.
When you say slicks you mean R6 or some actual cantilever slicks? Sizes?
Stock sways?
I thought you did a 1:19 on stock motor, nonetheless still very fast.
Even though I am out at MSR all the time and instruct with Apex, I received some great instruction from Brett (Spec Miata Champion). With him in my car (say he is 200lbs.) I was 10 mph faster (about 105mph) going into rattle snake (CCW) than when I was driving by myself!!! That is how much having great instruction can help. I have to follow behind faster S2K drivers to see where I need to gain.

Congrats Gerry!
One comment - those spring rates seem very soft for a dedicated track car on R6s! I run 600F/500R on my daily driven S2k that uses street tires at the track. The top SCCA STR cars (think minor bolt ons and suspension, with minimum 140 treadwear tires) run from 700-950F/600-900R.
I'll bet your car could benefit from something more like 800F/650R.

Those springs rates do seem very soft for a dedicated track car, but if it's fast ... that's great! My springs rates are about the same (500 f / 450 r),, but it's my daily driver.
Edit: Forgot to congratulate you for the lap time. Unfortunately, I don't know what would be considered a good time for that track or configuration. It also isn't clear if that was your personal best record, or the best time for your class, or what...

ive been trying to break 1:20 for a long time. the tires are hoosier R100s 235f 265r 17s. big front sway bar-gendron. and no rear bar. spring rates were suggested to me by Bobby Archer. they seem to work, these tires sidewalls are very stiff so they likely offset the springs. i think <1:20 is PDF
