Hi guys.
I just joined the s2000 community a few days ago when I bought a BB AP1 from Austin, I live in Dallas. As some of you might have seen in the thread over in S2000 talk, I wrecked the car on my way home on Keller Springs immediately after I got off the tollway. I ended up hydroplaning into a tree on the other side of the road, I had no idea there would be water there or I would have been way more careful, regardless I wasn't actually speeding. Anyway I'm waiting to hear back from my insurance agent as to whether they're going to total the car. I searched the threads a bit and told them if they were going to have it fixed to take it to McDavid Acura/Honda Collision in Plano, based on what I'd seen on here.
Well hopefully I can get this sorted our and start meeting some people from the forums and getting involved in the community down here before I go back to school in St. Louis.

I've been lurking for a while. I currently drive a '09 Acura TSX 6 speed. It's not an S2000, but it's the closest thing I could get that was practical.
Someone asked me once what my dream car was, I'd didn't hesitate for a second... My friend was surprised bc he was expecting something more exotic than a s2000. I used to sell cars at car max so I had the chance to drive all sorts of cars. I'll never forget the first time I drove an S2k. It reminded me of the go kart I had as a kid. I talked about it so much that my buddy (who at the time drove a c5 zo6) bought one. Since then he sold the zo6 but still drives the s2k.
I might be 50 when I finally get one, but I'm gonna get one. =D

Welcome! We've got a couple of monthly meets being Cars and Coffee in North Dallas as well as the Thursday night Meetup that moves around the metro, that is this week (this month) at the Mellow Mushroom.
