Yes yes.. of COURSE it is illegal.... who cares?
It's supposed to be undetectable to the naked eye - so how are they gonna know?

How about buying it and giving $2.50 shots to everyone? That way no one is out a lot of money.
Is the stuff on ebay the same stuff, or a knock off?
How long does it last?

It says you have to spray on several coats and let it dry. You have to spray evenly until surface is totally saturated. Let dry and repeat 2-3 times until plate is very glossy. The you have to let it dry for about 2 hours and it should be good forever.

The $64000 question is, who is going to be the Guinea pig? I can't because they'd send the ticket to an address thats 2 years outdated since I don't hold a valid DL.
Maybe this needs to be taken offline and a commitment made towards taking a collection in order to pay the ticket of the person who ran the toll booth if the product does not work. The true test is for one person to run 2 toll booths to see if they receive a ticket in the mail.

PS - I don't know if they still do this manually, BUT the day I received my ticket, the lady I spoke to on the phne said a person (called a "spotter" in her terms), manually writes down the violators plates, make/model/description.
Been there done that and they have good high resolution pics to show you running the toll booth. When you come in they prove you ran it. They'll also have a list of time dates and lane numbers you ran it in the past that they didnt' charge you for.
BUT if they can't read the plate they have no way of knowing who you are!

You can get 3 cans for $60 with free shipping... which makes it $20 a can (instead of $30 if you just buy one)
Anyone interested in splitting the 3-pack with me (I'll buy the 3 pack and then you buy a can from me for $20)?

The Photoblocker spray DOES work and it is NOT illegal. Of course, this has lawmakers angry and looking to add new language to the current law.
The spray does not affect the appearance of the plate to the naked eye. A police officer would have no problem reading your plate numbers if the plate was sprayed with Photoblocker. The law states your plate must be unobscured.......not photogenic.
Besides, there is no way to tell any given plate has been treated unless you send the plate to a lab and I just don't see that happenening.
Business in Houston is booming and none of my customers have received any kind of citation due to red light, speed trap, or tollway cameras.

I think whether or not it's illegal depends on what side of the law you are on.
Someone above posted the rules on plates and #7 stated:
(7) has a coating, covering, or protective material
that:
(A) distorts angular visibility or detectability; or
(B) alters or obscures the letters or numbers on the plate, the color of the plate, or another original design feature of the plate.
So, how does Photoblocker get around the word "detectability" in 7a and "original design" in 7b?

It says on the site it only works when when the flash of the camera lights up the license plate. In my opinion, that means it will only work at night. Think about it - if you can read the plate in daytime, the camera can also read it in daytime and the flash won't light up the plate. At night, when there is a flash, you probably can't read the plate because the flash WILL light up the plate.
They don't quite point this out on the site (they say it works off the flash of the camera) but the flash would have to be VERY strong to be way stronger than sunlight and cause your plate to light up in the day time.
Bottom line - it won't work in the day, in my opinion. It may work at night. If you're in a sports car and you can't keep from running a red light, there's a problem. Either you're not wanting to stop (most likely) or you have someone tight on your rear that won't be able to stop as soon as you (occasionally happens, in which case it's generally acceptable to keep going).

...hefty fines would be coming your way.
And if you are right you should send out a disclaimer identifying responsibility along with invoice for every can sold...for peace of mind of course.
