The one with the better tires will win. More grip will beat the minor power gains or minor suspension gains. When looking at each they are only about .5 to 1 second faster. Tires are the biggest gain. On an S2000, Hoosier A6 should run a 1:21, Hoosier R6 1:22, NT-01 1:24, and RS3 1:25.

At 3.9 sec off, with the top down, I still feel OK. Once I go the splitter/GT wing, that is in the bag.
Also thinking Ohlins or AST no aero would be 4K or KW v3 with aero would be ~4K so which direction yields the best results, lesser suspension and aero or top notch suspension no aero?
I am thinking that on the smooth surface of MSR that aero and V3/CS would be equal or better than high end suspension. I could be wrong but I am thinking it is more about ultimate grip. Throw some bumps in there and the better suspension may win?
My next step is squaring it up and my last step will be aero and possibly hard top (but I do love top down driving).

Let me also add this, I definitely know the turns that I am wimping out on at MSR and not fully utilizing my new suspension. So, I wouldn't necessarily judge the potential of the KW based on my "excellent" driving.

I added a carbon fiber CR replica wing over the Thanksgiving holiday, and tested it Saturday @ Harris Hill Road. The improvement in rear end grip, corner speed, and confidence exceeded my expectations! I have KW V3's, and would not want to give up my aero (I also have a CR front spoiler) for higher end coilovers.

Chris,
Did you fabricate your own trunk re- enforcements or use the CR specific ones? Otherwise over time you will experience trunk lid deformation. I like the NFR faux CR look!

David,
Here is one source for the front spoiler, early reviews say it's a good fit, I don't know myself.

Lip came from a Honda dealer, it's OEM. The wing came from a friend, I believe it's a carbon fiber Seibon CR rep w/ paint over the wing part.
Not sure, it's been in action for quite a while, and tested up to 110 (at least) mph. I'm keeping a close eye on it, and have some Great Stuff ready to go if I detect the slightest bit of deformation. Thanks!

I just bought a used very slightly damaged CR lip today. It was a good deal so I jumped on it. What was involved on the installation.? (note: I am being lazy now I will search later because I know the answer is on this site somewhere)
