What exactly is needed to be a S2000 certified technican

 

let me finish what I was saying....
I went to Huggins Honda today and they tried to tell me that ALL of their service techs are S2000 certified. Think she is full of it because I caught her lying to me about a couple of other things as well before asking this question. There is a certain training that a technician has to go through before being S2000/NSX/Type R certified correct?

hrmmmm, really don't think so. I believe he was pulling your chain. I could be wrong, but it doesn't seem correct to me.

 

Chuck, There are several levels of certification, you can be certified on brakes only, or in a/c only or you can be certified in all the different fields. Certification is all about what you know theoretically, it does not however necessarily make you an expert at a particular field. For example, I brought my Viper for some warranty work, rear glass hatch had to be replaced, The guy who worked on it is supposed to be certified. He replaced the glass hatch but failed to align it properly. I just fixed it myself and aligned the gaps all the way around. It took 5 minutes to do it right ! To me a certified technician is someone who has vast experience, great common sense, integrity, professionalism and most of all, pride in his work. Documents can be copied, including 100 dollar bills. Just an opinion. Roger/All Pro Racing (in the planning stage)
