I was hoping to get a response from a "Lady" S2K driver .

I have tried to make it a habit of inviting drivers of S2K's to get involved with the NTS2KOC and attend our functions. The guys tend to be excited to know that there is a NTS2KOC, but the women almost always initially appear threatened; like I'm an AMWAY salesman.

I'm not exactly physically threatening (middle-aged engineer who has to wear a tie at work...). Has Dallas become so unsafe for women that the appearance of ANY unknown guy constitute a threat?

I might have to just leave cards on the windshield from now on.

Did I miss the first half of this story? I'm confused. Did you approach a female S2000 driver and she pulled out the pepper spray, file a restraining order, or what?

 

I believe that the best aproach is to just hop into the car with them at a stop light. This tends to calm their nerves enough that they actually listen to what you have to say.

 

Don't forget to wear your favorite ski mask, so they'll know that you're a man of all seasons!

 

Mock me if you must, but don't you wonder how I was able to get all those women to join the club during my service as NTS2K Membership Director?

 

There are women in the club (other than Canadice)? Hmm... maybe I should go to club events other than just autocrosses.
