Hey...I'm just wondering if anyone here has a good accountant, local...

We have a lot of paperwork to go through, I'm 1099, wife w4 with relocation taxes to pay, we just bought our first house, I have a home office (actual home office, not the kind people try to get away with....I'm self employed)...etc. I have everything added up, my home office percentage, power bills, phone, etc...I just need to make sure the right forms are filed & I don't pay more than I have to, I've done that before

I'd like to stay away from the big companies but also want someone who would show up if I was audited. If you have any suggestions please post here or PM me...

Why don't you do TubroTax? It's extremely user friendly. It's like sitting in front of the Jackson Hewitt tax rep, only it's ~$150.00 cheaper.

 

I did the same thing as you this year (more or less) and did it all through Turbo Tax myself. Took me a few hours (with me double checking to make sure I had all receipts and provable expenses) at most.

The nice thing is, you can try TurboTax for free. If you find that you're stuck, you can just ignore it and you don't pay a cent.

Bottom line: Turbo Tax will allow you (online) to test it out for free and you don't have to pay unless you actually file your taxes with their program.

I got my refund within ten business days deposited directly to my account.
